fevzit pasha

January 2021

Fevzit Pasha looks at the St. Antonios area in Limassol, the neighbourhood with the largest Turkish-Cypriot community in South Cyprus. It follows six Turkish-Cypriots in the area and the ways their lifestyles and cultural and religious beliefs are maintained. It takes place at International Restaurant in the centre of St. Antonios. International Restaurant functions as a meeting place for Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots, a phenomenon not often observed within the Cypriot landscape due to the civil conflict history between the two communities. The restaurant is also the base for Cyprus Solidarity, a pan-Cyprian association which actively supports the unification of the island and acts as a representative of the local Turkish-Cypriots.
