Digital Photographs
BA (Hons) Photography year 1, term 1 project on the Distortion of Reality for the brief of ' Image the Reality'. The project deals with representing how through the photographic lens and the photographic representation a reality, as we see it, can be distorted, producing different outcomes and alternate realities. All photographs were taken around the area of Bank in London, where most of the banks are located, as well as contemporary architecture. The imagery is a response to Modernism, Constructivism, Cubism and Vorticism . Vortographs created with kaleidoscopic mirror constructions inspired by the Vortographs of photographer Alvin Langdon Coburn introduced in 1917.
